High-quality monastery wines from Slovenia

Our “DVERI-PAX” vineyards lie in present-day Slovenia. Because of the topographical features, wines which unite high quality, Slovenian identity, regional culture and the ambience of the vintner castle of Jarenina are produced in the world-famous vineyards near Maribor, Ljutomer-Ormoz and Radgona-Kapela.

Admont Monastery has a centuries-old tradition of wine making. From the earliest times the Monastery has owned lands and vinyards in Northeastern Slovenia. However, these possessions were lost in the confusion of two world wars. Only in the course of the denationalization after Slovenian independence were some of these former possessions returned to the newly founded company Dveri-Pax d.o.o., which belongs to the Monastery. Since then the tradition of wine-making has been revived and raised to new heights.

At present more than 200,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Production is concentrated on white wine (Sauvignon, Laski Rizling, Renski Rizling, Sipon etc.). However, to round out the range a few red wines are also produced (Modri Pinot, Modra Frankinja, Merlot).

Our wines from Slovenia are worth discovering by wine connoisseurs and fans from all over the world. The individual taste of the region, naturalness and highest quality are brand traits and guarantees of the success of DVERI-PAX witnessed by international customers and numerous prizes and awards.
